🌶️ OB Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off - Sat 6/27
One of San Diego's signature summer festivals returns with live music on multiple stages, local vendors, a chili competition, beer garden, and family fun just steps from the beach. It's a perfect excuse to spend the day in Ocean Beach.
🍽️ Taste of Adams Avenue - Sun 6/28
Sample bites from dozens of restaurants, cafés, breweries, and dessert shops while strolling one of San Diego's favorite neighborhood business districts. Great way to discover a new local favorite
🚗 Cars & Corks at Burtech Family Vineyard – Sat. June 27
Classic cars, local wine, food vendors, and live music come together at Burtech Family Vineyard in Escondido from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM. It's a relaxed way to spend a Saturday surrounded by unique vehicles, great wine, and North County scenery. 🍷🚘
🎨 Renaissance to Revolution Opens - Sat 6/27
The San Diego Museum of Art debuts a newly reimagined European art gallery featuring works spanning six centuries, from the Renaissance through the 19th century. A great indoor option for art lovers.
🛍️ Gaslamp Artisan Market - Sat & Sun
Browse handcrafted art, jewelry, home décor, and gifts from local makers while exploring the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. A fun stop before lunch or a Padres game.
🎼 The Beach Boys with the San Diego Symphony - Sat 6/27
A summer classic at The Rady Shell, combining iconic Beach Boys hits with the San Diego Symphony on the waterfront. One of the weekend's marquee concerts. Featuring John Stamos as well.

⭐ San Diego Hosts the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Ceremony
San Diego took center stage this week as it hosted California's 2026 MICHELIN Guide Ceremony at EVE in Downtown San Diego. The night celebrated the state's top restaurants, with Addison retaining its three stars, Lucien earning its first MICHELIN Star, Lilo and Soichi Sushi keeping theirs, and Lilo's Savannah Riedler receiving the California Sommelier Award. 🍽️✨

🎆 Coming Up: Fourth of July Weekend – July 4
America's 250th birthday brings one of San Diego's biggest celebration weekends of the year. Top picks include Big Bay Boom on San Diego Bay, Coronado's Independence Day Celebration, SeaWorld's Fireworks Spectacular, and the San Diego County Fair Fireworks in Del Mar. Prefer something closer to home? Nearly every community hosts its own parade, festival, or fireworks show.

🥾 Hike / Bike of the Week: Monserate Mountain Preserve (Fallbrook/Bonsall)
Looking for a challenging climb with one of North County's best views? Monserate Mountain features a steady uphill trek that rewards hikers with sweeping panoramas of rolling hills, avocado groves, and, on clear days, the Pacific Ocean.
Distance: ~3.5 miles RT
Difficulty: Moderate to Strenuous
Why now: Mild June mornings make the climb much more enjoyable before the afternoon sun.
Bonus: Grab breakfast or lunch in Fallbrook, or take a scenic drive through the Bonsall countryside on your way home.

💡 Located in Bonsall, San Luis Rey Downs opened in 1969 and serves as the primary year-round training center for many horses that compete each summer at Del Mar. The facility has trained numerous stakes winners over the decades. You can even view current horse training results on Equibase.
