Perched above the coastline, the Guy Fleming Loop is one of those rare hikes that delivers big views with minimal effort. This short, easy loop winds through coastal bluffs dotted with the rare Torrey pine trees, opening up to multiple overlooks of the Pacific. With Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve fully reopened on March 1 after a four-month closure for trail repairs and safety improvements, it’s the perfect time to get back out here—especially with spring wildflowers starting to show. PS - I spotted a White Shark in the surf from the Cliff top once!

Tip: Go early or late to avoid crowds—sunset here is one of the best coastal views in San Diego.

Aquarius Roll-A-Rena (La Mesa) — One of San Diego’s most iconic rinks, operating from the late 1960s into the 1990s with packed themed nights and a huge local scene.

Skateworld (Linda Vista & other locations) — Part of a small local chain dating back to the 1970s; the Linda Vista location is still operating today, carrying the torch for San Diego skating culture.
